Dani riding up the escalator at Centre Pompidou
We leave Paris tomorrow morning and there is still so much that we want to do. We will have to come back and stay for a month.
We visited the Centre Pompidou. Here is just a few of artists that caught our eye. The Centre Pompidou has a huge exhibit of women artists. elles@centrepompidu.
Dani took almost all the photos today. She has a great eye for what is interesting.
These bird house like structures were all over the outside and inside of the Pompidou. They're from a traveling exhibit and look very very cool.
The Crucifixion - Very huge
The bride, made of baby dolls and toy horses.
How terrible, they are afraid of us girls. I think it's because no one wants to see paintings of nude men.
Outside the museum these Mongolian chanters were playing these sitar looking instruments with one string and a bow, like a violin. They were also making this strange humming noises that sounded exactly like the things they were playing, so it ended up sounding like 50 people vibrating, very neat. We bought their CD. Hopefully we can play it in the car tomorrow.
On the way to eat dinner we saw a couple who just got married! Everyone was honking like crazy and as you can see the groom was very happy and waved to us.
We walked all over Marais, the neighborhood that we are staying in. We visited Victor Hugo's apartment.
